About The Risk Science Center
Vision: Improved public health though applied risk science
Mission Statement: To develop and apply cutting edge environmental and occupational risk assessment science that furthers engagement, education, and decision-making for public health protection.
Specific Objectives:
- Provide risk science support on emerging environmental, occupational, and public health issues through integrated and multidisciplinary research.
- Proactively engage other researchers and diverse stakeholders to facilitate the translation of exploratory science results to health risk problems.
- Educate and train students and practicing scientists through instruction, cooperative learning, mentoring, and continuing education.
- Support collaborative activities that enhance our society’s ability to most effectively resolve environmental, occupational, and public health problems.
